Jan. 6th, 2022 01:17 pmIt's kind of hard to have the heart to participate in online discussion in anything I don't feel 100% on because I'm afraid I'm horribly misreading what I'm responding to and because I don't want to act like I know more than I do.
I find writing online easier because I think I'm better at phrasing myself in writing and because most of the time I have more time then in a speaking conversation to formulate my thought.
But I find it harder mentally, because if I do mess up, it inscribed, it feels physical, and deleting things often feels weird. In a speaking conversation, the moment I say something, it's gone like the wind. I feel less pain once corrected or after having my opinion swayed. I feel less embarrassed over saying something stupid.
