A single hub website I'd want
Nov. 15th, 2022 01:31 amI'm thinking, I do like the idea of a website that has everyone on it, it is useful to me.
What I want I think, is just linktree but with a search function lol. Some people have multiple profiles based on what accounts/sites they want to show family vs. strangers vs. friends or whatever.
You can put tags on your profile as well to help people find you.
The key point is that you do not make post on this site and there is no time line. You just follow someones page, and you can check in to see if they've made any changes.
I'm sure you could have a central pillar site with a timeline and post and all that, but I just doubt one I like will pop up anytime soon.

Sep. 15th, 2022 04:21 amPhysically impossible for me to care when people complain about Vkei bandmen wearing braids.
They may be significant to some black people but they mean very little to me. I've never worn braids regularly but I've worn my natural hair since I started middle school. Black styles have history but that affects me little in my daily life. People love my natural hair, they complement it and point out characters I look like. I have no personal pain associated with it. I know this influences my opinion.
For me all that matters is:
1. Does it look good or stupid on them?
2. Are they doing it while having racist opinions about black people?
That's about it. I love the photos of Imai with dreads and braids! I think he looks wonderful! And as far as I'm aware he doesn't think poorly of black people! All checks out!
When I see people discuss it they often bring up "Not listening to black people." It's a good sentiment, but black people do not all hold the same opinion. Even if they hold your opinion they will still have someone who could say that to them. At the end of the day people have to think for themselves and come to their own conclusion with what people are telling them. If after that you still think they're racist that's fine, but "Not listening to black people." is a pretty useless thing to say.
Also braids are not a thing unique to only black people? I know there are some that really only black people do but braids as a whole exist everywhere. Is it so scandalous that they simply do another style. Do corn rows and french braids really have that much of a meaningful difference?

Aug. 8th, 2022 12:41 amI saw a post on Edtwt that was a repost of a tik-tok. It was a lady talking about how she expected to "have a petite daughter" after having her son before cutting to a photo of her large baby. Then it cuts to a lady jokng about how it's recommended to start the generational trauma once they're older.
All but one qrt was acting like this lady was ridiculous. I do not trust a single person on there that says they are feminist because of this. It's SO clear to see that it's sexist. She is perpetuating the idea that women need to be smaller than men, and pushing this idea on to someone that is a baby.
The fact that it was a baby seemed to add to its ridiculousness to people because they won't remember but I truly think that makes it worse. Why are you already enforcing gender stereotypes at a time when men and women share the least differences? What do you think this person is going to say to and expect of their daughter as they get older?
IDK that post just put me off so bad, really, some of the dumbest people in the world with no sense of awareness. I get that they are suffering under these standards too, but come the fuck on. These small things feed into the larger issue.

Mar. 31st, 2022 11:54 pmTwitter is just straight up evil. You can only go back so far on any given profile, and to see old post you have to search for them. If you retweeted something though it won't come up because you can only search the things you tweeted. So many things just lost if you don't save the link else where. -__-

Jan. 30th, 2022 09:58 pmHm so I was talking to a dude on twitter and he was talking about how gay stuff written by women often misrepresents gay people.
I said that gay people are all unique so how is that possible? and that I thought we should just make more art that he would like.
He said that it wasn't about him and what he liked (despite being a queer man himself, the person affected by this art). And I have to wonder, what's this all for then? Are they writing(they are a writer) only to reach some ideal of representation not even influenced by the desires of the group being portrayed, rather than because he likes that type of representation? I don't understand.
I'm sure they didn't think about it this deeply, I don't formulate my thoughts perfectly most of the time, but it's interesting.

Jan. 17th, 2022 03:39 pmBeing able to talk to people on Dreamwidth and a server I'm in has ruined me and made me feel like it's fun and not a bad idea to have conversations on Twitter with people I disagree with as if it won't lead no where kxjdjskd
I did this today and it wasn't some long drawn out argument but like I said, it was a waste lol
Also when I replied back agreeing to part of what they said with "Me too!" They liked it then un-liked it, I assume because they thought it was someone else as first but who knows, maybe it waa just an accident
